Falcon BMS 4.33 - Aerial Refueling

The new 4.33 update has brought some surprises, at least for me. All good if I must tell you. Your mileage may vary.

I don't know if it's me, but my semi-decent precision flying/aerial refueling skills took a big dip after the update. Overshooting the tanker, porpoising near the refueling boom, blown away by the tanker's downwash ... The works!

Scourge of War Waterloo - Review

Some years back, I wished that NorbSoftDev would expand their portfolio to other periods of warfare. The time has come.

Waterloo is a battle that needs no introduction. Even my mother knew about it (does being an  ᗅᗺᗷᗅ fan counts?). So, I will spare you my non-professional attempt to review the battle and rather focus on how well you can wargame it with Scourge of War Waterloo.

ArmA 3 - Operation Gaucho Bravo

The Province of Corrientes, Argentina. The Uruguay River (which marks the Brazil-Argentina border) is being used by subversive militias to finance their operations by protecting drug cartels and other types of contraband activities.

IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad - Summer Maps!

IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad has been updated with summer and autumn maps, which look absolutely gorgeous. That update was dated 27Oct15, which is almost a month back ... Gee, I have to keep myself more current.

Myself flying a Stuka. So heavy in bombs that I will need to drop a few before going for those targets they called me for.

Flashpoint Campaigns Germany Reforged - Escape from Beckeln

A new scenario pack/expansion and patch has been released for one of the greatest computer wargames ever made: Flashpoint Campaigns Germany Reforged. This blog entry is part of a multi-point of view narrative of one scenario that was part of the good old Flashpoint Germany and now had a huge facelift with the new engine.

The AO assigned to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. The mission was to stop the Soviets from securing a route north via the A84 highway. The pink lines are the schemes of maneuver for each unit and the blue area is the deployment zone.
This narrative is for the first two hours of action of a 3 platoon detachment from Troop C (one of the units highlighted in the south).

Command Ops 2: The Fleeting Moment

This blog entry contains commentary from the Overloon scenario in the recently released Westwall module forCommand Ops 2. Spoilers are a possibility ...

Plenty of terrain and objectives to cover. I'm in command of the US 7th US Armored Division.
This is no country for tanks. We need more infantry. We don't have enough of either.

The Seven Years War

When I purchased it I was a bit intrigued about this game. After a few hours of playing it, I am still intrigued about this game.
