Battles of North Africa 1941 - Preview and Thoughts

I wanted to share a preview and gameplay notes about the upcoming title in the Panzer Battles series from John Tiller/Wargame Design studio.

The new addition is a tour of force in early WWII desert armored warfare. Don't let the one year time bracket (just 1941) fool you, the amount and variety of scenarios is great and the tactical situations have something for everybody. From sweeping maneuvers across wide and open terrain, to attacks on prepared positions. They even included scenarios from the invasion of Crete, for those more infantry-oriented.

Armored Task Force - The Artilleryman's Worst Nightmare

Is the enemy's artillery.

Armored Task Force (ProSim Company, Shrapnel Games) Sunday at my command bunker. Practicing fires coordination with my three self propelled artillery batteries.

Arma 3 - US Marines Company Attack

A quick scenario featuring a US Marines company, devoid of support weapons and indirect fire support.

I tried a live stream last week on this very scenario and it was a disaster, it showed the wrong title, the quality was ugly ... Sorry about that.

Combat Mission Fortress Italy - Shocking the Livorno

Another great scenario in Combat Mission Fortress Italy, "Butera Station".

One battalion of the Italian Livorno Division pushing towards the beach head at Gela. A reinforced company-sized patrol of the 3rd US Infantry Division deploys quickly and tries to block the Italians. In this scenario, my poor planning resulted in a nail-biting finale.

This video I posted in YouTube a while back is my response to the widespread "practice, practice, practice" advice so frequent in the official forums.



It's not the widely accepted "practice, practice, practice" pseudo-aphorism what moved me to explore the topic in more depth. Truth be told, you will need to practice! It was actually the lack of pointers on what to look for while you practice.
