DLCs are coming out fast for Valor & Victory. I missed most of the fun because of other commitments but this time I wanted to share some screenshots of the upcoming DLC "Arnhem".
This DLC comes with 6 scenarios centered in the city of Arnhem during Operation Market Garden, with a sharp focus in quick and fast squad-level tactical gaming that characterizes this PC port of Valor & Victory.
The DLC offers a great taste of tactical combat and is as nail-biting as it can be. The expediency of fire and maneuver punishes both the timid and the bold, requiring a good measure of tactical prowess from the player yet without swamping her/him in minutia and excessive detail.
The Allied side provides a fantastic taste of the challenges of being outgunned as a paratrooper. The Axis side offers an impressive rendition of armor/infantry combined arms in built up areas.
In an era where easy to play military-themed games are king among the busy gamers, it is great to have developers keeping the good old hobby of traditional wargaming alive.
And yes, because no tactical wargame would dare to bear the name "Arnhem" without it, please check the beauty of the scenario below. I'm so looking forward to play this one.
