SEAD Principles, an Exercise - Command Modern Operations

This self-edited mission was quite enlightening for me. In this video report, the details.

The modern air and naval warfare environment is a very technological one. To develop and to use modern tactics you have to know how your and your enemy's equipment works. A good way to grasp the capabilities of these assets is to take a peek at your and your enemy's point of view.

Command Modern Operations allows you to do just that using the mission editor. In the following video, a look at a SEAD mission.

Several things to consider. First, please be aware that -despite the plenty ground cover offered by mountain ranges- I was interested in achieving my mission from high altitudes only. This is an exercise, after all. Second, the electronic jamming provided by the Prowler aircraft allowed me to approach the enemy defenses with impunity. Third, the jamming was directional, which forced me to use a narrow corridor to get in close and personal with the enemy SAM site.

Thanks for watching this video.

Cheers,

JC
