An-Nasiriyah, 23 March 2003. For no less than four hours, Charlie Company, 1st. Battalion, 2nd. Marines becomes the main effort of the entire Task Force Tarawa.
The story is still fresh in the collective memory of the US Marine Corps. Maybe too fresh to war game it without pausing and reflecting on the sacrifices made by these Marines. They will not be forgotten.

SimHQ's Review of Iron Front Liberation 1944
Great review by adlabs6 (one of SimHQ's gurus for all things ArmA, including multiplayer coop missions).
It's great to read about Iron Front from people in the know. Other mainstream gaming sites/publications are seeing Iron Front through their :Call of Duty" glasses.
Cheers,

Legends of the Blitzkrieg - Panther Games Team Fine Tuning Its Wargame Engine for Tactical Combat
An entirely tactical version (combat between forces at the regiment level and below) of the Command Ops wargame engine is in the works, and it is looking great!
The setting for this first game in the series is France, 1940. Bil Hardenberger and Warren Miron are the project leaders and were kind enough to share screenshots and additional details. This is a work in progress and everything shown here could change.

Tank Tactics in Iron Front Liberation 1944 - Turret Down!
That hill in front of your tank could be the dividing line between life and death.
One of the major surprises of Iron Front Liberation 1944 is a very decent armored warfare experience. It's time to get real with your tactics, folks!

Game vs Book I - Kampfgruppe Peiper and the Bridges at Stavelot and Trois Ponts - Epilogue
After a successful 8 hours of advance guard action, I was already deviated from history while playing this scenario. With the bridges at Stavelot and Trois Ponts secured, the advance towards the west looked guaranteed. Such was my optimism that the historical advance route through La Gleize suddenly was not so inviting. The impressive success in securing a crossing as far as Habiemont by 1730 by advance parties from KG Peiper was the final nail in the coffin for following the historical path.

Squad Strongpoint - An Iron Front Liberation 1944 Single Player Mission (Sorta) - Briefing
A couple of fellow readers have asked me for the file mission of the "Overrun!" scenario and blog entry I posted a while ago. I am always willing to share scenarios but I am not very fond of the time-consuming process of polishing them ... (as you may have noticed I am on a very short supply of free time ... hell, I can't even answer all those great comments you guys leave!). Nonetheless, "Overrun!" was just a throw of units and waypoints. Believe me, not worth even 2 seconds of your time. So I decided to put up something on the same topic but with a bit more of meat and make it available for the readers of the blog. The scenario is about a thinly manned German defensive line facing a Soviet forward detachment's infantry-armor hasty attack.
The player is placed in the boots of a German sargeant in command of a squad strongpoint. Directly under his command, the only 4 men left of his squad. The strongpoint has a Pak40 AT gun, plus two mounted MG42s.
