That MG foxhole had some kind of an energy shield or what? How many shots from did Jackson fire? 5? 7? And not a single direct hit? From such a small range? And this german MG team have tungsten balls, under direct attack from a tank destroyer and they not even flinched... I like Combat Mission, especially the modern titles, but sometimes this game creates some weird situations...
Haha, so I was right. It WAS an energy shield.. ;-) What is the weather and ground conditions in this scenario? If it is a thaw and ground is damp it can indeed reduce the effectiveness of artillery and gun shells...
Sometimes I wish wargames graphics could advance past circa 1999. And a framerate in the 30's would be great too. I look at something like the RTS "Wargame AirLand Battle" and wish that Eugen could loan out their graphics expertise to our poor old wargaming companies like Battlefront and Graviteam.

Hi PAK and thanks for your comment and for watching that video.
A few minutes later after the end of the video, I dropped some heavy mortar rounds on that position. Just one grenadier was injured ...
Cheers,

Hi,
LOL. I got quite a lot of bog-downs with my Jacksons. I don't recall the briefing, but it sounds like you are spot on.
Cheers,
